Dwight Giles

Dwight is Professor Emeritus of Leadership in Education in the College of Education and Human Development, University of Massachusetts, Boston. He has been a practitioner-scholar of experiential education for over 35 years and has taught courses and directed programs in community engagement, service-learning, and community based-research. He has co-authored numerous books and articles on service-learning research and community engagement including “Where’s the Learning in Service- Learning?’. Since retiring from UMASS Boston he has become an adjunct instructor in the Public and Community Service Department at Providence College. In his spare time he tinkers his antique Mercedes and digs clams in Narragansett Bay.
